A social net allows the disabled persons to know accessible routes

The persons with some type of disability soon will be able to consult which it is the most accessible route to arrive to the destination chosen through a social net for Internet in which all those architectural barriers will find that they hamper or block its mobility in the city.

The project intends to establish initiatives directed at achieving an "inclusive habitat" for men and women with reduced mobility, so that it is achieved to improve its quality of life and its social integration, they have briefed fountains of the High School in EFE of Innovation for the Civic Welfare (I2BC), promoter of the initiative.

A thing as daily as to cross the street or to go to the supermarket can convert into a real challenge for persons with disability since the city "is full of obstacles", therefore, a first step to make it more accessible it is to locate where these barriers are found and to signpost them through computer applications how "Google Maps".

It is a matter of using technological tools that already there are in the market and adapting them to the company, passing all citizens the innovation, the same fountains have explained, who have added to Madrid, Màlaga and Seville that the pilot test of this initiative will develop.

To know the location of the existing architectural barriers will be selected a group of volunteers with some type of disability, who will have a mobile telephone with chamber and a GPS with which they will be able to pick up the incidence and the exact place in whom they find, information that will come off stored in a data base with what later the social net will be carried out.

The project will order of dynamic maps of location in which the "black points", which will be continuously updated, for which the I2BC has had the collaboration of Technosite, will be able to be visualized undertaken belonging to Foundation ELEVEN, and the Group ACT, placed in the Technological Park of Andalusia (PTA), in Màlaga.

The goal of the I2BC is to design and to develop a technological tool of "real" and practical utility, with the potential of "truly" producing a "positive" impact in the construction of a city "accessible for all of them".

We "intended the disabled persons to be able to identify of first hand these barriers that are in its daily routine" so that they felt participant of the project, moreover conferring protagonism and power of decision on them, because "nobody better than they he does not know the true state of the streets of a seat", they have pointed out the same fountains.

For this the mobiles of what they will order the group of volunteers they will pick up information about the characteristics of the way like for example if it has one pending excessive, if there is absence of footbridge or if the width of the sidewalk is insufficient, to avoid like this these routes and to be able to opt for an alternative path.

The project, which receives the name of "City for all of them", it is foreseen, and explains more than 365.000 euros with a budget of something.

The I2BC, placed in the PTA, it is a center promoted by the Ministry of Innovation, Science and Company of the Board of Andalusia that he searches which is the real need of the citizen and uses the disposable technology to face answer to this demand "improving like this the environments of life of the population".
