The foundation ONCE shows this month in Sevilla (Spain) Disc@tel, a project of telework for the persons with disability

Now it touches the turn in Seville. Formerly Madrid had been shown.

The Foundation ONCE has presented today in Sevilla the project Disc@tel, an initiative of research about the Telework of persons with disability in Phone Centers of Communication, the goal of which is the real integration into the job market of this collective.

To the presentation ONCE and president of the Group Fundosa, Alberto Durán, the president of the Spanish Association of Experts in Centers of Contact with Customers (AEECCC), José Luis Goytre and the counselor delegated on of Sertel, Santiago Galván, among other representatives of the companies that shape the project have assisted the 1st Executive vice president of Foundation.

Disc@tel, is a joint action of Sertel, company of Group Fundosa of Fundación ONCE the Association of Experts Spaniard in Centers of Communication with Customers, the Foundation Integralia, the Foundation Alares and the special center of Telemarketing of the Group Marktel, to foster the insertion socio and work of persons with physical or sensory disability.

According to the datum extracted from the study elaborated within the framework of this initiative, in the present there are been more than 3,5 million persons with disability, of whom 1.300.000 are about susceptible of working, in Spain.

With the goal to increase the index of work inclusion of this collective, the entities that participate in this project, they have evaluated the possibilities of adequacy of the places of telework to the potentiality of the persons with disability and have introduced in its staff workers with reduced mobility that from its address and connected to the platform of its company, they exercise its work with normality.

The counselor delegated on of Sertel, Santiago Galván has pointed out that "at present our company counts on some 500 persons with disability in staff, but with this project goes still more far away, since it gives answer to problems related with the conciliation of the life socio and work of the persons with disability in the most extense meaning."

To conclude the 1st Executive vice president of Foundation ONCE and president of the Group Fundosa, Alberto Durán has highlighted that with this initiative "it is wanted to demonstrate the economic profitability, as well as the technical possibility to incorporate its functions from its address into the companies of telemarketing to workers with disability that they exercise, so that the companies start to incorporate this method of work."

Moreover he has pointed out that thanks to this study we can affirm that "the persons with disability can liven up with success in the about the telework" but that this work method does not have to be a shortcut not to have to make the world accessible".

Finally, Alberto Durán has affirmed that "it is important to continue working for the accessibility of the work" environments and that although it is necessary to use the advantages that the world of the telework offers, this does not have to use the problem of the disability for invisibilizar yet more.
