FrogPad: Bluetooth keyboard for one hand.

Friday, September 18, 2009

The FrogPad is a small keyboard that is operated with one hand and in which each key contains two letters and a few symbols. The Bluetooth version will look similar to the USB version of the profile and have HID (Human Interface Device) needed to properly recognize the hardware Bluetooth input devices like mice and keyboards data. The keyboard has been created in collaboration with Gennum Corp., known developer of Bluetooth wireless solutions. The Bluetooth FrogPad is powered by a lithium ion battery Rechargeable via USB cable (can also work through this type of connection) that provides a range of estimated usage of 30 days. Any device with HID profile is likely to be used with Bluetooth FrogPad: personal computers (Mac or PC), PDAs, Tablet PCs .. and is compatible with most Bluetooth adapters on the market. The keyboard will cost approximately U.S. $ 225, originally priced somewhat higher, but that some cases may be worthwhile to have a highly portable keyboard.

Keyboard really is a highly usable and accessible for those with limited mobility of the upper extremities, with cases such as hemiplegia, amputation of upper limbs, muscle weakness ...

Here I leave a video to see its functionality:
