Intic: Integration of Information Technologies and Communications groups of people with disabilities

In-ICT project (Integration of Information Technologies and Communications groups of people with disabilities) enables people with functional diversity can improve their personal autonomy, thanks to a support system that allows you to customize the use of all features and CAD programs. By creating and configuring virtual keyboards is possible for people with functional diversity (physical, cognitive or sensory) may use the computer, Internet access, communicate, execute specific applications, games and more. This system can also be used as a communicator in both conventional computers such as laptops, mobile phones and TabletPCs will be available free to all users on the Internet.

In-ICT has been driven by the Orange Foundation and carried out entirely by the Center for Medical Informatics and Radiological Diagnosis of the University of A Coruña (IMEDIR). Personalization features, access to computer and communicator for computer and mobile phones, along with free distribution, make it unique, because today there is no application of these features available to groups of people with disabilities.

Installation Basics

The program installs the complete set of pictograms CATEDU Sergio Palao and a selection of sound files. This requires a high setup time, be patient. The program provides users with a generic example. Take these examples to see the potential of In-ICT and customize according to the abilities of its users. This program is compatible with Windows XP and Windows Vista. Requires installation. NET Framework 3.5 (included in installer). To use the communication functions, the program uses the voices SAPI5 compatible system. Do not include any speech engine with this application that must be purchased separately.

History of released versions

Version 1.0. Compatible with Windows XP and Windows Vista. Users of such computer access and communication with a syllabic keyboard and a set of dynamic panels with basic pictograms.
