The University of Alicante outlined in Elche current trends in new technologies for assistance: ETTICCASS'09

Delve into the possibilities offered by new technologies to aid and assist people with disabilities or functional limitations by age or health reasons is the purpose of the meeting that, under the name ETTICCASS'09, will be held hosted by University of Alicante, starting next Wednesday in Elche.
Defined as "interdisciplinary Meeting on Information Technology, Communications and Control torque Social and Health Assistance," will provide an overview of the progress that provides information technology to contribute to improving the quality of life and increase personal autonomy dependent, both in prevention and diagnosis and treatment, care, administration and daily help.
These days, to be held between 23 and 25 September at the Congress Center, Elche, are organized by the Task Environments and Smart Home Automation and Computing Research Institute of the AU. With the collaboration of the Municipality of Elche and are sponsored by Vodafone Foundation.
During this meeting, led aa university professionals and students of engineering and technical engineering, nursing, social work, occupational therapy, medicine, sociology and pedagogy, we held an exhibition and demonstration of technologies related to its content.
The the conference program are grouped in three areas: information technology, communications and control to people with functional diversity, nursing and social care and health and government.
The expectations of the digital home and smart, the experiences of the value of technology institutions like Red Cross or innovations in clinical practice will be one of the topics to be addressed over the three day meeting, coordinated, coordinated by Francisco Flórez Revuelta, professor in the Department of Information Technology and Computing.
This is the third consecutive year that this meeting is held, organized by the University of Alicante since 2007.
