German researchers have developed a technology that can handle a car with eye movement.
Researchers at theFree University of Berlin presented a technology that allows driving a car with eye movement. The invention was filed on Friday in Berlin, with a demonstration on a Dodge Caravan.
The system follows the direction of gaze of the driver and the steering wheel moves according to it. It is even possible to reverse, with only direct view mirror.
To drive it is necessary to wear a bicycle helmet fitted with two cameras. One focuseson the road , and the other monitors the movement of the driver's eyes. Not even necessary to get behind the wheel, because the driver can take the passenger seat.
Currently, only allowed to move at speeds of 50 kmh, but the creators hope will soon increase the speed to 100 mph. In any case, it is ideal for city driving without exceeding the limits.
